I Have Been Accused of Publishing Something That Someone else Wrote

I am in need of a lawyer. I was recently accused of publishing another person’s work. At first, I did not think that this was a very serious accusation and since it was not even true, I did not think much about it. However, a friend told me that I needed to find a lawyer. I do not need just any lawyer, but I need to find an ip lawyer. I need someone who specializes in copyright law. I have never had to hire a lawyer in the past and so I feel a little bit nervous. I have been reading lots of different tips on the Internet and also getting some suggestions from friends and family members. It seems like there are a lot of things that I need to look for. One of the best suggestions that I got from a friend was that I needed to find someone who I was comfortable speaking with. I found this to be very true after I called the first couple of lawyers’ offices that I found listed in the Yellow Pages. It seems like many of them were very rude and I had a hard time explaining my situation. However, when I found someone who was friendly and did not make me feel rushed, I could talk to them a lot easier and felt more confident in them. I also appreciated when the receptionist and other staff members were friendly as well. Another suggestion that I got from someone was that it is a good idea to ask the lawyer about their experience. I scheduled a free consultation with one lawyer and was not afraid to ask about his qualifications, experience and other things having to do with his education. The more questions I asked, the more I felt like I found the right lawyer for me.
